Fourchu, South Cape Breton Island, in walking distance of the pretty coastal village of Fourchu, 30 minutes to Sydney or St.Peter’s.
Directions
From Halifax (International Airport) take highway 102 to Truro, then Trans-Canada Highway 104 via New Glasgow, Antigonish (St-Xavier University) to Canso Causeway, the town of Port Hawkesbury and to St.Peter’s. Continue on highway 247 to L’Ardoise, Grand River and follow the Fleur-de-lis Trail via Framboise to Fourchu.
Veranda Beach starts at the crossing of St.Peter’s–Fourchu Road, Route 247, Cannes Point Road and Fourchu Highway, Route 327, and is situated along Route 327.
